intel 5100 wireless with ubuntu 10.04

It looks like that there is a problem with wireless again in ubuntu 10.04 may be kernel?


I founded this solution and it looks work fine.

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/options.conf
And add the following to it.
options iwlagn 11n_disable=1 11n_disable50=1
After that, reboot your system.

Grub2 Theme

1. app PPA: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bean123ch/burg 
2. sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install burg burg-themes 
3. sudo burg-install "(hd0)" 
4. gksu gedit /etc/default/burg 
5. Uncomment "GRUB_THEME" and add the name of theme you wish to use. (sora, proto, etc) 
6. Uncomment the 'GRUB_FOLD" option and add the name of theme you wish to use. (sora, proto, etc) 
7. Edit /boot/burg/burg.cfg and change set theme_fold=radiance and change set gfxmode=1024x768 
8. Edit /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Gtk+ aurora engine install

To install the theme engine extract it to somewhere convenient and in that directory,
run: "./configure --prefix=/usr" then "make"
For animation support add "-enable-animation" when running "./configure"
Then as a root user "make install".

Then install the gtkrc themes by extracting them to your ~/.themes directory (3 themes in total).

To change your current theme to Aurora (under GNOME) open up Theme Preferences (usually somewhere under System > Preferences) click the Customize button and under the controls tab select the theme you want.

Windows 7 & IPV6

Last time, I remembered I installed Fedora 11 and IPV6 made problem while I was surfing Internet. Now Windows 7 has the same problem too. I founded it when I used Twitter with tinyurl.com. I couldn't browse this website. So I disabled IPV6 and finally it back to work.

Create theme for various kinds of blog

I use Artisteer 2 to create my theme. It creates perfectly.

Todo 10 things after install Wordpress

สำหรับอันนี้เป็น Checklist โน้ตสั้นๆ ย่อๆ ของผมที่จดไว้ เกี่ยวกับสิ่งที่ควรทำหลังจากลง Wordpress เสร็จเรียบร้อยแล้ว เผื่อจะมีประโยชน์สำหรับหลายๆ คนบ้างนะครับ

• เตรียมโฮส, FTP, ฐานข้อมูล, Google Analytic และ Akismet API key
• ดาวน์โหลด Wordpress อัพโหลดและทำการติดตั้ง
• เปลี่ยนโปรไฟล์และรหัสผ่านของ admin
• สร้าง User ใหม่โดยปรับให้เป็น Administrator role และใช้ User นี้เป็นหลักในการปรับแต่งเว็บ
• ลง Plugins และปรับแต่งดังนี้
  • Google Analyticator และใส่ UID
  • Akismet และใส่ API key
  • StatPress Reloaded
  • WordPress Database Backup และตั้งค่าให้ส่งไฟล์สำรองข้อมูลไปที่อีเมลทุกสัปดาห์
• ลบ Hello World Post ลบ About page และ Links ทั้งหมด
• เปลี่ยนชื่อใน uncategory ให้เป็นชื่อใหม่ตามต้องการ
• ไล่มาตั้งค่าในหน้า Settings ทั้งหมด
• สร้าง ตั้งค่าธีมและ Widget

ปล.ทั้งหมดนี้เป็น Checklist แบบสั้นๆ ง่ายๆ ของผมเองนะครับ แต่ละคนคงต้องปรับไปตามสไตล์ของตัวเอง ใครมีเทคนิคอะไรยังไงก็มาแบ่งปันบ้างนะครับ :)
